Hi everybody! I hope you don't mind another new guy on the boards. :) . I just got a Neo Geo Pocket for christmas, with the games listed in my sig. I have visited this site once or twice, I saw it from someone from gamefaqs, don't recall the name, but thanks.

So far, I am enjoying it very much. I got a couple things for GBA, but still haven't touched them, or any gift, but the Neo Geo, and am happy very much with Metal Slug and Pac Man. Well, I hope you guys don't mind a new guy around, and look forward to post hear, and maybe some to expand of what games I have, and maybe one day, have a collection. :)

Oh, and BTW, feel free to list some recomendations of games. I'd more than happy to hear about them. :)

Hey there, welcome Duff. I for one am always glad to see another happy SNK gamer. Well at least you started off on the right foot, playing MS 1st, well, 1st lol. Trust me, after you play the 2nd one, you'll laugh at the 1st. My collection is as follows (my pics in the collections section are a little outdated):

2x Platinum NGPC (yea dutch auctions!)
1x Clear NGPC
1x Camoflague Blue NGPC
US Baseball Stars Color
US Card Fighter's Clash Capcom
US Match of the Millennium
US Metal Slug 2nd
US Sonic Pocket (no box)
UK Card Fighter's Clash SNK
UK Evolution
UK Metal Slug 1st
JPN Pocket Reversi
JPN Last Blade Best Collection
JPN Rockman Battle & Fighters

As far as really good games to get, well everyone seems to agree on the Card Fighters Clash games (CFC), Match of the Millennium (MotM), KoF R-2, and the Last Blade. Happy gaming, just don't snipe any of my auctions, or else.... lol j/k bro, have fun

Wow, it seems that everyone has quite a collection. :) .

Well, I havent really played any of the card games, and don't know what they are like. I am very new to NGP and SNK, I haven't played Samauri Showdown, or King of Fighters. What are those games like? I have been interested in buying some games, but I have never bought anything online before. . Heh, but I guess everyone has to start. :) I am pretty interested in Sonic Adventure. I think I saw it on ebay for 15 or so, but have no idea what are good prices for NGP games. So I am new, and need some directions on what games are like and such. :) Thanks for the warm welcome and all. :)

Oh, and I have a q. Is it ok to use a GBA AC adaptor, so I can save battery life?

I don't think a GBA adapter is compatible with a NGPC but I'm not sure...

Anyway, THIS thread should give you a ballpark idea of prices. UK games are the most expensive, btw so if you're not a collector you'd probably be fine with the US or JP versions.

Quite a collection? Please, I'm an amateur lol. Sure you can use a GBA AC adapter, I've done it with no problems, just remove the battery compartment part that goes into your GBA and you'll have a plug that fits perfectly into your NGPC's AC jack. Hm, the games. Well, I started my collection with Sonic and wow, it plays just like its 2D bigger brothers. That game really wowed me and locked me onto the system. As far as the other games, well, King of Fighters is just that, a fighting game, very much in the vein of Street Fighter, but there's a different feel to it, it's like, cooler lol. Samurai Shodown is a weapons fighter. Last Blade is a weapons fighter that seems to be more like a fencing game than a straight fighter IMO. If you're not quite getting what I'm saying, then get the games anyway, if you liked what the system has given you so far, you'll love what else it has to offer. And trust me, take a chance on Card Fighter's Clash, I did and like 60 hours later I'm still playing it.

heh SNK, i'll have to look into that. What do you have to sell?

Anyway, I am curious about some games I was a little interested in. Which game do you guys like the most? Samauri Showdown, or a KOF game, I am curious, since I have heard they were good, but never played any of them. :)

Clamshells are basically plastic casing..it won't break down as easily as a cardboard box...unless you purposely want to break it...plus it's alot easier to handle the instructions...plus it's just way nicer looking.
