Regional NGPC's?

I know that all regions of the NGPC play all games, but is there any difference with the console itself (Jap, Euro, US)?
Also do they all sell on auction for the same price or is any particular region of NGPC more valueable?

The only real differences would be between a japanese Slimline NGPC ("new" neo geo pocket color) and any other release

Slimlines are sort of hard to find so the price will be a little higher, but oh well, its slim and slick!

Oh and there was a special release of the NGPC with a tiger-pattern coating, to celebrate the existence of the hanshin tigers. Sure, it's a collector's piece, but damn, it looks like crap. Clear/frosted/stone blue plz.
