Ive only tried the game once but that was a long time ago. Sorry about the stupid post but just wanted to say.

I have upgraded all my mechs past their level 3 development cycle, gotten the Homura level 5 monster mech, the Garou, and a whole bunch of other weapons developed past the level 3 cycles, unfortunately, they are all in Japanese so I don't know if it will be of any help to you.

What I know is it seems the only way to get these items is on the Mission stages past number 7. I've yet to get one from the earlier stages.

Can you use the same TS (mech) to get the secret items?

For example, I don't have to change my TS to get a certain item, do I?

Same here, I used my Homura for all my missions and the CPU didn't flag me for being a cheater, because that's what I am with my 999 HP mecha. It did give me a cookie once, which apparently Sanchan really hates and he tells me not to pull such a cruel trick on him again by bribing me with 120 coins. Looks like I'll have to find something else he really hates.
