What are the odds of Playmore releasing some new pocket color games?

None, unfortunately. As far as Playmore is concerned the Neo Pocket, Hyper 64 and CD systems don't exist. frown

Get yourself a flash-linker and a 16mbit cart and discover the joys of homebrew...

Check my sig for details.

We are actively looking into the possibilities of producing our own carts, but we're still getting our heads around the hardware for the time being - but every month sees us a little closer to producing something *worth* spending real money on :)

Cheers

I was always wondering if anyone had an honest-to-god developer kit from SNK, one that they give out to developers, the same tool SNK use to develop their games.... I'd love to get ahold of that.

probably cost an arm, to get it from them, cause ya know, they have to go through the massive archive like in Raiders of the lost ark.

If we had a gameboy emulator or even a semi-workable nes emulator, then I'd be so happy
I'd crap my pants if we had that... drool_2

You don't want much do you? wink

Bizarely, There was a company working on Gameboy emulation - As I recall, the intention was to produce a cart which could piggy-back GB carts.

Development was canned due to legal worries though :(

The NGPC isn't ideally suited to emulation, the tile format is different to GB and other systems which means on-the-fly translation would be needed.

The software part of the NeoGeo pocket devkit (documentation, libraries, assembler, etc) can be found on the net.

A while back I made a petition to playmore for the release of kofr3 and Ikari Warriors. We got a shitload of sigs, but playmore wrote me back saying that at the present moment they had no plans the pursue the ngpc further. Anyhowm heres the link.

I remember signing that petition. Oh, what I wouldn't give to play K', Benimaru, Krizalid, Jhun, the Ikari team on the Neo Geo Pocket Color.... Drool....

The way I see it, if King of Fighters R3 were ever to see the light of day it would have to wait until Playmore has accrued enough yen, hammered out a solid deal with some console for the linkup capability, and come out with a next generation Neo Geo Pocket that would be backward compatible with older games the same way Gameboy Advance plays older Gameboy Color games. That wouldn't be entirely such a bad idea. I can't foresee Neo Geo Pocket Color remarketed the same way Majesco did with Sega's Game Gear.

Probably not. My pirate carts don't have any kind of contact information, name or anything like that on them. Which I guess makes them uncontactable.

Pirates are only interested in making money, I doubt they'd be interested in making homebrew multi carts.
