I'm thinking about getting one in few weeks. I now the NGPC has been discontinued and pulled off the shelves. I was just wondering if the system was any good, and if there are any good games worth getting. Are games hard to find? Is the system easy to get a hold of? Does it have any advantages/disadvantages over the Game Boy Advance? Where can I get some info?

Thats great that your getting one, personally I havent played any GBA, but I can say the NGPC rocks. Some games are hard to find; like: some of the RPGs, Faselei! english and Evolution English. Games like Metal Slug 2 and Last Blade, Ganbare Neo Poke Kun and other rare japanese games go up to pretty high prices.

I personally would recomment these games:

SNK vs Capcom Match of the Millenium
Metal Slug 2
Neo Geo Cup 98
Samurai Shodown 2
Biomotor Unitron
Faselei
Evolution

There are so many more good games. The good thing about the NGPC is that there are allot of fighting games on it. Most compared to any other system. Also 3 top RPGs and some cool sport games. I think you can't go wrong with getting one.

Shops where to get NGPC:
www.telegames.co.uk www.ebay.com www.anotherworld.co.uk

I don't remember the other adderesses, since I haven't bought any new games for it quite a while heh..

Hope this gave you enough info <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Kyo,
I totally agree with Cho!
The NGPC is a superb little system, get one while they're still easy to find at a good price!
Most of the games are excellent!
To add a few to Chos list of favourites,
Gals Fighters
Sonic
Reversi
Pac-Man (you gotta!)

Shit! all the games on it are superb! I mean it, really f'in good! even the dodgy casino games are fun, cos they are cheap!
All the puzzle games are superb!
The fighters feature the "Super Deformed" graphics that you'll hear people mention! this basically means big heads, hands and feet! Funny and really cool!
The fighting games are mostly super fast as well! you will be suprised!
The sport games are good, Turf Masters will keep you hooked for weeks!
I love my NGPC, and besides, where the hell else can you play all your favourite Neo games on the move?
Just get one!
Really, you know you want to! <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

Advantages over the GBA..hmm. I definately think the 39.99 dollar price tag is a big bonus. That's about the price of a GBA game. Dude, just snag a NGPC before they're gone forever *reminded of seeing Virtual Boy's for 19 bucks an not buying them...sigh*

p.s. GBA iz K3wl3rz!!

One of my nephews got a GBA for birthday, together with the usual Mario shit and another game which I don´t remember... Played Mario and quite liked the nifty parallax scrolling and colors, but after I introduced my nephew to my NGPC he dropped his GBA for quite a while, playing Sonic, KoF R2, Metal Slug 1st Mission, Biomotor Unitron, Cotton and Pac Man (really a must-have). Other great titles which I´ve played (but do not own yet) include Faselei!, KoF R1 (b/w), Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny, SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium and Samurai Shodown 2.

This lil´ box definitely is worth buying, with a good availability of both hard- and software, and the games aren´t too expensive.
