Probably Memories Off Pure, Card Fighters Clash 2 and Infinity Cure. I might even go as far as saying Memories Off Pure, Infinity Cure and Pocket Love IF are the three rarest since Card Fighters Clash 2 was available from import retailers, right now it looks like Buy Rite might even have it for order but their reputation seems so suspicious I'm reluctant to try it. My emails just get ignored.

Memories of Pure??? Pocket Love If?? Come one, those aren't even CLOSE to rare. Email Jack Eccs on ebay, and he can set you up w/ some, he has them for auction all the time... I'd say -

1. Pocket Reversi UK
2. Picture Puzzle UK
3. Shanghai Mini UK

Again, it's dificult to state.

finnil is after several games and i believe that Koi Koi Mahjong was difficult to get, although he now has it. Pocket Reversi is definately a rare one. Shanghai Mini, not really that rare. None of the 3 japanese ones stated by bokmeow are very rare.

I have never seen Meaze Kanjoi so i guess that is very difficult to get hold of.

So I'd say nigeronpa is pretty close to the mark....

.... and Nigeronpa is another we don't see to often but it is not that rare.

That's my 2 pennies worth. ;)

Oh yeah, Picture Puzzle UK is the rarest game in existance ever so buy mine!

It took me ages to find these 3 games

1)POCKET REVERSI (UK)
2)SHANGHAI MINI (UK)
3)EVOLUTION (UK)

But to be honest it depends, because sometimes Ebay is full of 2,3 and then nothing for months.

POCKET REVERSI (UK) I think is the rarest cart of all.

UK Pocket Reversi hands down is the rarest I think, UK Evolution is on ebay farely often but is just too dern expensive. Shanghai Mini is quite rare I believe as well, those 3 I think are the top three. I'm with Mark. :D

Well, So everyone knows, There are 2 Nigronpa's on US Ebay at the moment, It's only the 2nd and 3rd i have seen on there, So get them why you can. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1941313694&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1941370107&rd=1 . There is also a Meaze Kanjoi on Ebay too here it is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1941369742&rd=1 . I believe this title to be as rare as Pocket reversi UK, But i maybe wrong, I was looking for it for years and this is the first time i have seen it on ebay. The Koi Koi mahjong auction from the other day was also the first time i have seeen that on ebay too and a friend of mine hasn't seen all the above for over a year and he lives in japan.

I saw mezase Kanjioh sometime in April, but because it was not listed in a way that would turn up when once searched Neo Geo Pocket, NeoGeo Pocket, SNK Pocket and so forth, it eluded detection. I think when I say 'rare' I usually refer to the print run. Cartridges at the end of the NGPC's lifespan tend to be lower, so I can't say one can use eBay as an absolute measure of how rare something is.

The problem with trying to define rareness is that the only place you can really get so called "Rare" games is on Ebay now days, as retailers do not really stock NGPC games anymore apart from some old popular titles. So many people refer to ebay as a benchmark. I must say that in the years i have been collecting NGPC stuff it's a good mark to go by. I have serched the web for years looking for Meaze kanjoi, Nigronpa and Koi Koi Mahjong, in every corner of the earth via the internet, Phone and Ebay. I managed to get koi koi a few months back thanks to a friend in Japan and it took him ages to find it and he goes everywhere and anywhere in Japan to buy games for Ebay 3-4 days a week and even he couldn't find Meaze Kanjoi for me. So i personally think it's as Pocket reversi.

I've never been much on rarity... I mean why do I want to spend 60 bucks on some Japanese mahjong game that i wouldn't ever play? Just doesn't work for me...

But I'd have to say that yes, probably some of the more rare titles are some of the oddball jpn ones. Hey, there is probably a couple pachinko games out there that nobody even knows exist ;D.

Well, I brought my NGPC years ago and brought some games, then a few more, Then got a few more off Ebay, the next thing i knew i had almost 30, So i went for all 39, then when i done that i wanted some Jap Neo geo games, But ones i could play. So i started to buy some and before i knew it i was half way to having the whole lot, I think it was then when i thought i would go for the whole lot. I think thats the time i made a concious decision to get the whole lot. Now i have i want to collect something else, Sad isn't it :)

1) Pocket Reversi UK
2) Puzzle Link 1 UK
3) Dive Alert - Becky version - UK

Faselei UK, Evolution UK, Metal Slug 2 UK, Last Blade UK are quite expensive but not rare.

What about that Japanese baseball game that had to be pulled from the shelves because they didn't have the proper licenses to use official teams?

The Jap baseball game was called Pro yakku baseball, It got withdrawn from sell due to licence issuses, It looks like it was re-issued as Dynamite slugger as it's virtually the same. But it is getting very hard to get now.

If I had to replace my collection, the ones I'd worry most about getting would be:

1/ Reversi UK. (took me a year to get the one I have now)
2/ Shanghai UK (8 months to find the one I have now)

Then it gets difficult because your left with the 'not valuable but quite rare' ones like Gals Fighters, Picture Puzzle, Cool Boarders, Puyo Pop, Dynamite Sluggaer, Puzzle Link 1, etc.
And the 'Not really rare, but far too expensive' ones like, Faselei, and Evolution.

Don't know why people say Shanghai and Picture Puzzle UK for, easily bought from Telegames UK, bought mine a few months ago.

1) Pocket Reversi (easily the rarest)
2) Jap baseball game (forgot name, but with jap team names)
3) Koi Koi Mahong (though on ebay recently)

those off the top of my head, def the first 2 though i'm sure koi koi can be beaten easily.
