Some portable game systems say to remove your batteries before using the system with an AC adapter. I have the SNK brand AC adapter, but have not seen any recommendations in the paperwork.

You can leave the batteries in the system. I also have the AC adapter, and since I use it most of the time, the batteries that came with my NGPC lasted over a year!

Thanks for the info. I would hate to find acid-leakage from the batteries in my NGPC because I was supposed to take them out when using the AC adapter. As it is, I have only had to change my AA batteries once, and my original lithium battery that is used for saves is still going, even though I have had my NGPC for two years come this summer.

I think it's one of the preference thing, like do you leave the cart in the home cart or not, when you stop playing it.

I don't think it's a big deal either. I leave the batteries in. One of my carts are always in the system as well.
