I Need Help on Metal Slug: 1st Mission

I have another question. How do you get a 23/23 rank in this game? I played through this game twice on "normal" difficulty. Do you have to complete every single mission? The game always skips some missions. Please help.

It is impossible, I say! I've beaten the game dozens of times but still... I have yet to attain the perfect rank...

You have the play on the hardest mode to get the Devil Status (23/23).Btw to up a rank you just need to get one of those of those red and gold shields;Most of the time they can be found when your plane has crashed (with the parashute or when you r in Prison).I had to complete tthe game five times or so to reacht the status of devil using the s-continue;BTW when you reach it yuo'll be immortal

I beat the game on the hardest difficulty and I still didn't get the 23/23 rank. I really want that immortality. Anyone know why I didn't rank up?

AHHH SO CLOSE im at 22/23 rank. ITs almost impossible to get to 23, gah I think I need like 100000 points or somthing to get that rank because the badges wont upgrade your rank.

Yes they will,But I guess you might have to catch a badge that you haven't caught before...
