How many of you pocket owners also own a homecart system or mvs ?

what do you find so good about the small screen system ?

I want you to sell me the product the best way you can :)

I've got the pocket 'cause it's neat! Got it YEARS before I got my AES; I wanted a Neo badly, and I had a boring job where I didn't do much and went unsupervised the entire night. ;) I LOVE the fighters for the system; if you can find KOF R-1 (for the B&W model) I highly recommend it. It kicks the GBA's ass!!!!!!

Here! Actually the Pocket is the first Neo product that I owned. Then I went on to get an AES, and soon I'll be playing with my own arcade cab (MVS) at home!!!

The NGPC was my first SNK purchase.

Shortly after I picked up a CD system, and my friend keeps his AES in my lounge. :D

The NGPC is an amazing handheld, the unit itself is excellent with a much better thumb-stick than found on the Neo-Geo CD pad. The Screen is well positioned (best on the slim line model) and is easy to see even in low light conditions.

The innards are pretty unexciting, but this is why the NGPC excels, the developers have created titles that embrace the limitations of a handheld system, giving us clear graphical effects using a low number of bright contrasting colours.

The unit is MUCH more user friendly that the GBA in almost every way.

The 'pocket' versions of full size SNK games are almost shocking in their parallels to their full size counterparts, KOF-R2 is a good example of this: IT IS KOF 98! And to be able to play your favourite SNK fighter anywhere... cor, i think.

I'm going to be in Reading on Sunday lee, if you want to buy me a pint I'll show you my NGPC (I got samsho2 with me). :D

OK so I own most systems, a one slot and a four slot, I should be getting a dedicated 6 slot soon, if the guy dosent want to be a twat about it!
I have 3 NGPC's UK, 1 JP, and a NGP.

Why buy it?

Well, if you like Neo, you'd have to be totally off your fucking head not to like the NGPC!

Its a high quality system, with the best controller of any handheld, its cheap as chips, and it has all your favourite Neo games on it!

WHATS NOT TO LIKE?????????

Well I used to own both AES and MVS lol... I now got a NGPC a Neo Geo CD and a Saturn with ports. Ill defenetly will go back to MVS, probably with a supergun. But not anytime soon. Probably when I'm going to do vacation work in the summer.

You defenetly should get a NGPC, as Metal Slug said, the games are cheap. The avarage price of games is $20. I think thats a great price for a handheld with allot of many good games.

The SNK world is link with with the arcade and that's why I have never taken a NG CD (loading times) and a NGPC (handled support). There is no offense to the NGPC owners and I suppose that the support is great. But for a comparaison, Porsche is my fav carmaker but I don't like the cayenne because a SUV has no place with this brand.

7 Years is a long time!
Sounds like you deserve to spend the money on yourself! ;)
At least it gives you time to make some plans and sort out your options.
Good luck with it mate! Hope you find something else for twice the money and half the hours!

Hot diggity!!! I'm in the Neo-Geo Forums! :D LOL!Hi all! Yes, as you can tell, I'm a newbie to this site...gotta' start someplace right?

I kick myself for not getting the NGPC when I had the chance. Now, I'm scrambling all over creation to try and get what's left of this great little system.

I plan to get an AES system, simply because I couldn't get one when they first came out. I have an online friend who will be sending some pictures to show me what he has.

What just blows my mind about the whole thing is that they are still making games for the thing! Anyway, the main reason for me wanting to purchase a NGPC, is so I can work towards finishing my Dreamcast collection. :D

Hey...quick question you guys. Which NGPC games are supposed to work with which Dreamcast games? Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks! :)
