This question is often asked though, I think we should compile a tinny 'recommended Neo Geo Pocket Color games' post-it note or something ^_^
Edited: Added Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure, funny that escaped me, I went collecting puzzle pieces like a madman for god knows how long, it's so addictive to get all the pictures, the time trials and advanced trials are a good way to challenge yourself as well. Lately been playing too much King of Fighters R-2, getting grapplers on the brain. Orochi Yashiro is the bees knees.

Really, Samurai Shodown! 1 and 2 are never mentioned. o_o
Sonic Pocket Adventure is okay too.
As for Puzzle games, there's also Puzzle Bobble Mini (Bust-a-Move), Magical Drop Pocket, and the Puzzle Links...
But there's some other cool games out there... Not obviously easy to find though.

Neo Turf Masters is a definite. That game is freakin' awesome. And yeah, it's just like the AES version with only one less course a most of the golfers.
Delta Warp is one of the best puzzle games out there. Even though it's a Japanese release, it is dual language and plays completely in english! It's a very different game, not some tetris type clone.

IMO if you only get one game get SNK vs. CAPCOM: THE MATCH OF THE MILLENNIUM. There are plenty of mini games you keep you playing for a very long time. Also there are allot of characters to unlock; unless you connect it to the Dreamcast then all the characters unlock automatically, but you wouldn’t want to do that now.
