With "thanks" to your friendly, neighbourhood 8bitnintendo on the IAMKLOV forums. See my other threads to find the reasons he gives that I'm in the wrong by the way. Cause the seller suspecting a boot but neither checking or listing it as a boot is license for saying it's a legit copy!

Its seems he either knew it was, or thought it was likely a boot based on the way he was talking.

Boot, no doubt.

If it's an all eprom boot, then it's not too bad, cause you can re-flash the roms.

But, if it's that MX-flash rom crap (which you don't have), then you're hosed.

Check it out. See if it plays ok.

If the cart pays ok, work on a partial refund with your seller, and chalk it up to in-exp.

And later on when you get some more exp. you can convert it to a proto cart--like IRONCLAD or GHOSTLOP.

Too bad it has MX chips, can't repurpose them. File a claim or make it public on klov that he's selling boots.

not if you make it a smaller game, just relocate half of the C eproms for the program board.

This deal was a 2 way fail... Buyer didn't ask for pics of the boards in the cart... Seller didn't offer them... and now both sides are posting on KLOV with their egos puffed out and not wanting to budge or compromise on a solution.

It's an ugly situation and a constant reminder that sellers need to take pics of the boards inside the cart AND the buyers need to ask for them if they don't.

The chips are flash so you can reprogram them. Some eprom programmers like the usb ones have support for flash.
