If you could have just ONE more NGPC game, what would it be?

We all love this system... but new games are out of the question...

If one game were to be released as THE final NGPC game, what would you want it to be?

I think I'd want a SNK vs. Capcom 2 game...

The original was simply amazing.. no, IS simply amazing... Just imagine more characters, new moves, new mini games... AHH!

MMmmm... I think that is what I would want...

SvC2!!

.... a 64 in 1 cart with sequels to nearly all the games ever released! I think the cart may be bigger than the system though.

Barring That........... Metal Slug Ultimate (at least a 64 meg cart!)...... :D :D

R3 if it were different from R1 & R2.

Otherwise G:MOTW pocket, with the engine intact (like R2 is fairly faithful to'98).

I hear there is a bootleg G:MOTW for the gbc, using sprite rips from the NGPC proto...

So...is the proto ROM for the NGPC version out there somewhere?

I'd be much more intersted in that ;)

The attitude on these boards towards bootlegging, roms and stuff is generally very negative. I'm not willing to enter into whether that is the correct stance or not, but it means this community is one which is probably unable to provide the answer to that question.

Yeah, I know lots of people hate emulation around here, I just thought you might know the answer yourself! If someone has ripped the sriptes from a proto, then surely that proto must be available somewhere outside of SNK/Playmore offices. My bet is a videogame store somewhere in the backstreets of HK... :D

My 2 cents: I dislike emulation as much as the next person, but I don't see whats wrong with playing a game that was never released. That's one of the only situations where I'd condone (and participate) in emulation. It doesn't hurt the developers or the publishers because it was never released to make any profit in the first place. Unless I'm missing something (and please point it out, I'm willing to change my mind) it's a win/win situation.

I beleive that bootlegging an unreleased game would be fine. I mean you cant accuse a bootlegger of stealing non-existant profit can you? Emulating games which were actual releases and deminish from the momentum of the neo scene on the other hand is very wrong. Thats just my opinion.

I was attempting to make the point without opening the debate, emulation and bootlegging are complex issues. Emulation has its uses and bootleggers could help us out here. Dishonesty in this context only matters when it affects the gamer, I really have no sympathy for the bloated corporations of the 21st century…

But really, we must return to topic.

Well put. I beleive the ngpc is in a thought provoking and unique situation seeing as how it has been altogether abandoned. And it will be interesting to see what, if anything happens. Coming back to the topic, I would take a UK Ogre Battle if that exists.

A pocket version of MotW with multi-color, kickass-animation sprites and superior gameplay (a mixture of Gals Fighters and MotM).
32Megs of pure 2D-fighting power...I'd love to get such a game <img src="graemlins/drool2.gif" border="0" alt="[Drool 2]" />

moog: There's a MotW-bootleg for the GBA flying around. It was sold at eBay multiple times...I wonder what it looks like...

Ahhh it was GBA, thanks Mystery. I'd really like to see some shots from that. If it's GBA then could I be wrong in thinking that the sprite rips are from NGPC? The GBAs res could make use of rips from the full size neo version...

I didn't think of suggesting games that got released and not translated, Armoured Century Unitron is the one I need to see!

Is it theoretically possible to buy the GBA bootleg, store the rom on the pc, and then play it on ngpc per flash linker?

If i ever get a MotW portable, then please with joystick gameplay.
But probably we should list MotW at our petition also( if there`s a bootleg exsiting, then the game must have been kinda finish)

Theres no chance the GBA bootleg could run on the NGPC, they crunch completley different code. The GBA version may have just used some of the graphics from a NGPC version.

It might be a good idea to list G:MOTW on the petition, but we are unsure that the GBA bootleg actually used NGPC sprites, so therefore unable to verify the project was at an advanced stage.
