And to my great surprise is not the MV1-FZ its the MV1-FZS which Im assuming its stereo.

Same board I have, I did not know they did revisions like that.

I acquired a brand new MV1-FZS quite a number of yrs ago...the S mean spanish, according to a ex-snk tech.

As I know the region is related to the Bios mounted on the board rather than the board itself. I own one of these boards too, purchased from a guy from Canada. Everything on english (Euro Bios), no stereo sound. I think the "S" is related to some compliance marking etched on that revision of the board.

I just finished with the SCART PCB, connected it to the tv and it worked. Audio is definitely mono. Colors look bright and sharp. The resolutions seems lower than what I remember. Im sure its the years its been since I last played Samurai Shodown II. Very pleased, I need to build a controller now.
