Oh yeah.... i think i have had both copies in at one time or another and just not noticed! I wonder if it may be a difference between the titles sold in the UK and those in Europe as i have also notice that the english instructions do not come with the games i purchase from abroad.... although the buggers probably threw them out! :(

With theSamurai Shodown 2, it looks as though the origin is the key. One is by SNK Europe, who may have used its own covers, SNK japan has different cover. If SNK Europe closed before SNK Japan then they probably still exported the games from Japan, just with their own Pics. Does sound feasible? <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

kof r2 is another, one copy has three european flags on a white background and another copy has a green background no flags

I guess it must be to do with the origin then.

One will have been supplied by SNK Europe and the other by SNK Japan. I don't have any duplicates at the moment so i cannot check them.

It posses the question as to difference in Value?

US, Euro and Asian games all had some number of clam case releases with English language.

SNK probably distribute in as spun out a fashion as they did everything else. That’s whey these titles appear all over the place.

The 'Flag' boxes are Euro specific, the others are either US or Asian.

I think as long as it had the right language and was in demand from a particular region SNK would have sent it out. They're hardly volume sellers...

I remember this discussion a while back. We all agreed the Japanese MOTM cover is one of the best of all time, correct?
