I know I seem to have a bit of a NGPC obsession.. but can I really afford *50* systems in one big shot? Maybe 25...

But what will I sell them with!? Oh this one is better, because of the 60 games...

(Sorry, I know these 'look what I found on eBay posts' are kinda lame, but EESH look at it all!)

I really want to get into selling video game overstock / wholesale stuff.. can anybody give me a few points in the right direction? Right now, I sell on eBay for a local used video game store chain... but I sell at home too and I'm looking for new ways to build my home buisness!

You'd struggle to sell those on at a profit. What does a bare NGPC sell for these days? $30? $40 max. So you're looking at a maximum markup of something like $10?

As for the cart/NGPC bundle. That's the exact same bundle that has been blitzing Ebay for the last couple of months - and been struggling to sell at $70, again another $10 markup for you.

Could this be the last of the warehouse stock surfacing though?

Cheers

I think it's safe to say NGPC's are worth about $25 max. Slimline's, IMO, are worth about $50 max.

Boggles the mind. Those NGPCs are probably only worth 2/3, maybe even less, than the bid he auctions them for.

$10 is more than what the video game stores were making off of them. Systems never make big money its allways chump change. It's the games that made profit.

Oh yeah, absoultely. But we're talking about private reselling aren't we?

Personally, if I'm going to go through all the hassle of reselling stuff I would expect to make much more than a 20% markup on it. Especially given that postage, ebay fees (or advertising/web-hosting if you're not going to sell via Ebay) and what-not would soon cut into that markup.

Also, I was being rather generous with my estimates - my "$10" markup is an outside figure, you'd be just as likely to make a loss on each unit at the price quoted.

If you could find 50 NGPCs at $5 each, or if they were slimline models, then I'd recommend buying them. But 50 standard NGPCs at $30 is not a bargain...

Cheers
