They are all for badly translated versions of the cards. Most of them have wrong translations.

I don't think so, it's pretty well balance.
Just check Terry, Geese, Krauser, Kyo, Evil Iori... o_o

I think the SNK side is also a little bit stronger. Most of the Capcom characters seem to have square or circle abilities, which in practice make them somewhat a little bit weaker than triangle abilities that most SNK characters have. Plus the SNK is more focused on lockdown whereas the Capcom side is more focused on control. Akuma, the best character removal in the game, is overshadowed by Evil Iori, Yashiro, Yamazaki, and so on so forth.

i dont think akuma is over shadowed by yashiro or yamazaki, when im playing 2player link up with someone id have to be retarded to send akuma back to their hand so he could use his ability again

Of course you don't want to send back Akuma, and most times you don't have to, but I'm just saying in terms of power levels, Yashiro sets back your opponent one turn and makes SP as well, whereas Akuma makes 0 SP.

Depends of your deck strategy too...
Depending on it, you may want your opponents to have a lot of cards in his hands, or not.

So Yashiro may be more or less useful...

well i think basically everyone in cfc1 has the same deck {give or take a few cards} but cfc2 was where different strategies really open up

I wanted to compare decks in an old post, but no one really seemed interested.

I am.

I'm totally rebuilding my deck...
Even in CFC 1 you can have pretty different decks.

Basically, all I had in my previous decks were strong cards (Geese, Krauser, Gouki etc)...
On my new decks (there's 2), there IS a strategy this time. :p

Wicked, I'll post my deck list when I get a chance. I have four decks right now, and their strategies are pretty much all different. One deck doesn't even have any hitters above a 700 bp, kind of safe against the decks that run Wild Iori.

The "under 800 BP cards" strategy is more useful in CFC 2... Since in that game, a lot more cards can be hostile against strong cards...
Unlike in CFC 1, only Wild Iori does that.

Anyway, here's *basically* the strategy for my 2 decks.
1- Making it so that the opponent has no card in hands (using Andy, Sogetsu, action cards etc)
2- Decking the opponent, making him waste all his cards... (using Joe, Chun Li(A), action cards etc)

Ah, you have some weak cards in your decks... :p
You still use D and C ranked fighters, I don't...
I just have B, A and S in mines... Except for Action Cards, where some D and C cards are welcome... (Escape, Double KO...)

Don't underestimate the power of D and C cards, like akira, her ability is amazing, sifting through your deck for one AC card that is central to my Imprisoned deck. I think almost all my decks employ backup of some sort, so D and C cards are still very useful.

Another thing great about a lot of the D and C cards is there are a lot of them that make a decent amount of SP. Setsuna is one of them, he makes a whopping 5 SP, and he can use Iori and Wild Iori as backup. Obviously, Iori is in there so that I can use Substitute to swap it with some unsuspecting lone intercepting character. If I get the good draw the game is over in no time.

Too bad we can't battle to check the efficiency of your deck.

'tis true. I want to organize some Neo-Geo gathering in New Jersey, and you don't happen to be in New Jersey would you?

By the way, mods are going to come down on you if you don't show where your location is in your profile.

Nah I'm not from NJ at all.

And by the way, why is it a problem if I don't tell where I'm from in my profile ? o_o

Don't see why it'd matter...

If someone with master programming skillz fixed the NeoPop TCP/IP linking to where you can actually battle, then we could all set up some tournaments and have some real fun!

Yeah.
Especially since I wouldn't have to rebuild my decks or anything, I'd just have to dump my cartridge...

The TCP/IP linking doesn't work on that emulator? or does it only have limited support?

It has limited support.
You can use it to trade cards, but when you try to battle it doesnt work and gets all glitchy.

Im really not sure how far you can go with it, as I havent really tested it much.

(if any of you do want to test it just ask me on aim and I will try it with you)
