first off, this is a cool game because yeah, it has the real teams, including I believe, a twinkle star sprites team.

However, it's not rare.

at all.

I see it on yahoo japan all the time. even ebay. in better condition.

last year though, some people were trying to sell this for a lot because they knew the story behind the game. You can get the UK version as Dynamite whatever baseball, but the Neo Poke Pro Yakkyu is a better game for the fact it had real teams.

What's the difference between the two? They are both baseball simulations, so it's not like they could have like a virtual representations of the team players right? Is it basically just swapping the names out and the player names as well? I don't know very much about this title, except something seemed to fall through with the licensing deal, so Neo Poke Pro Yakyuu had to change the game to Dynamite Slugger and remove the franchise names.

That's way overpriced. In the last two months I've sold two copies for around 50$ each. I will be getting another one soon if anybodys interested.

BTW, apparently more is different besides the teams - go to paleface.net/z/sngp , they seemed to think alot was different.

Ill check my roms. See whats different.

Ok. The only thing that I see different is that Dynamite slugger works in english and has a few more animations that Neo Pro Yakkyu.

Other than that it is exactly the same.

Dynamite Slugger exists in Jap too...

I've been told the difference between this game and Neo Poke Pro Yakyu is that the latter has licenses etc for teams and player names, or something.
So nothing changed, gameplay wise.

There's a few differences. Bunting is done totally differently, there's different animations for homeruns and such, fielding mechanics are sligthly changed, and I think the AI is harder in Pro Yakyuu. Also, Pro Yakyuu apparently works on B&W hardware, though I haven't gotten around to testing that.

So really, they're different games. Dynamite Slugger is basically the sequel to Pro Yakyuu. I think ADK was working on it even before Pro Yakyuu got pulled back. They were also making a game called High School Baseball for a while which probably would have used the same engine again, but it got cancelled.

Given the nature of most yearly sports game updates from EA or whoever, I like ADK's approach much better. Presenting different leagues each year is at least a slight twist.
