When I first got MotM I had a bit of trouble getting it to load up at first but it seemed fine except that first time.

But now I've returned to playing MotM again recently and I'm having some problems. Sometimes I will be playing and the system will just turn off in the middle of a match (seems to happen more when I set the system down, between matches etc.) It also locked up once. After this happens it always goes to the setup screen but it thinks that it's a black and white system.

I played a bit of samurai shodown to see if it would lockup/reset but nothing did happen.

I did buy MotM on ebay used, so, I think it might be the game.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think it sounds like a problem with the game too? Is there anyway to fix it?

Maybe one of the batteries are dead. That was my problem when my system was doing that.

I thought MOTM couldn't be played on a black and white NGP system. Have you tried it on a color NGP to see if the same problem happens?

I've had this problem before with an american game. Metal slug 2nd mission. It only happened when I tried to play this game, not any other ones. I had to clean the contacts on the cart very good and blow on it alot. then it works correctly

yeah zorro is right, had the same probs ... just blow in the catridge and in the catridge slot of the NGPC and it'll work again. By the way, this only seems to happen with 32 Meg carts

I'm thinking it has to do with 2 things: 1. 32 Meg carts and 2. Auto Power Off function. I had the same problem with MOTM as you described.

It's easy to fix, had the same problem with MotM as well as other games...

Blowing in it isn't enough, open the cart and clean the bottom metalic parts using wet cotton buds...

Strange that it seems to be confined to the 32meg carts.
Perhaps it has something to do with the amount of power they use?

I had the same problems with 8 and 16 megs carts...

It just depends on how much you play the game (the metallic parts collecting more and more dust while you're playing), and considering how both 32 megs games kick ass (not counting the 3rd one that no one cares about :p ), that explains it all...

What's the 3rd one? The only carts I know are 32 Megs are Metal Slug 2nd Mission, MOTM, and Densha de Go 2!, and they are all awesome games.

Yes, I meant Densha De Go 2.

I own it but didn't get the time to play it yet... And few people know about it because it's only in Jap and all.
Wasn't talking about the game's quality but more about its popularity.

I would write a faq for it, but the problem is I can't capture screenshots for this sucker, and I don't necessarily want anyone to dump the ROM either, but I know that's pretty much the only way to get screenshots of it unless I get myself a digital camera.
