I saw a thread on this awhile ago, but it didn't seem like the person who said tehy could do it ever responded. Any news on this? Anyone new willing to take on the task? If anyone could figure out how o do it I know I would pay good $$$ to get it installed. It just seems like it would be amazingly awsome to be able to play this thing in the car or in my bed before I go to sleep at night.

Problem #1 : The screen size of the GBA is different from the screen size of the NGPC. The Afterburner is a good 2.5 mm shorter ( not tall enough ) than the NGPC screen, so that's out of the question...

Problem #2 : The question of finding a good diffuser for the use of LEDs to light it from the side/top of LCD...

Someone has managed it. The thread you are talking about was brought up because one was on EBay at that time.

Can't remember who bought it though. frown

I would love to have a few of my slimlines backlit...especially my pearl blue one buttrock
