I have never seen this game nor any other JPN game sealed before, so this is pretty cool. + this is one of the harder to find JPN games...And since it's the really cheap cardboard box, whenever you find it used, it's been bent on the top flap or opening, or it has tons of shelf wear...Take advantage of a chance to get this game brand new...

more games and stuff coming soon...

I thought you couldn't play it without a good knowledge of Japanese (which I don't have...) frown

It's not actually that bad.. If you read an FAQ/guide to get you started then it's perfectly playable.

I find it waaay too hard though, I've never won :( But maybe I just suck?

It was loads of fun, but man it takes forever to get all the stages, and I wish there were more mini games that didn't require button mashing. The secret data was also very neat, developmental secrets revealed and shelved characters that were in the development of King of Fighters. Still, I wish King of Fighters R-3 made it to the development cycle......God, I'd loved to play K'.

How'd they get sealed? Japanese Neo Poke games don't come shrinkwrapped, so it must have been done by someone else down the line, probably someone in the US given our peculiar obsession with plastic packaging.

Anyway, personally, I wasn't very impressed with Battle de Paradise. The mini-games are really boring compared to Ganbare's and the board game is too easy once you get into the swing of it. You just get into a habit of doing the same thing over and over every time you play (using just one or two of the cards or always taking a certain path or buying your stars at a certain time, etc.) and the AI doesn't do much to mix things up. It'd be a lot better against a real ive person, I'm sure, but how many of us have that opportunity? There also just seems to be a flaw in the concept of a 2 player board game, you need at least three or four for it to be very interesting.

I think the real attraction of the game is for people who are way into Kig of Fighters and just want to see something different. Like that King o Fighters online RPG thing coming out.

I have had this conversation a few times and both UK and Japanese games were sold sealed. And why not? If you go to certain shops, DVD's will be sealed, others not sealed.

It is probable that they were sealed by the company selling them to reduce theft of the cart or instructions, or for storage reasons.

I have sold several in the last 2 months and i am sure that the people who purchased them can vouch for the fact that they were sealed, and the seals were professionally done.

This definitely does not seam to be a 3rd party seal... Very cleanly done, and the one box shows no wear under the plastic...looks to me as if it was done at point of manufacture. Maybe I'm wrong, but it sure looks like it.

1 on hold for now, (probably sold)
