Obvious scam as well as obvious bootleg.

You have got to check this out to believe it. Seller states that this game has never been released statewide, and yet he posts the scan of this box with an obvious ESRB symbol on it! Incredible cut and paste work I must say...

Metal Slug 2nd Mission for Gameboy Color? I don't think so!

Plenty of scammers had very good records. Besides, it may very well be that he doesn't know video games, and honestly thought that this was a genuine product. What I'm saying is, it's a Hong Kong bootleg or something like that. SNK had never licensed out their Metal Slug series, so it isn't possible that Metal Slug 2nd Mission was ported to Gameboy when SNK wanted to protect its exclusiveness.

I think I'm gonna buy it, just to see what it is. I've never seen anything like it, it looks fairly real...

DON'T BUY IT!! IT'S DEFINITELY A BOOTLEG!!

I did an internet search on the UPC code on the box "0-47875-80215-5" and came up with this:

<a href="http://bensspot.com/vidbar_3.html" target="_blank">http://bensspot.com/vidbar_3.html</a>

On that page search for "80215" and you will find the EXACT same UPC for "SPIDERMAN 2: THE SINISTER SIX" for GBC.

It's definitely a (very good) bootleg...

Whoa, thanks for the quick search d-lite. I wanted to do that too, great minds think alike eh? But I didn't know where to start, was about to do so by just asking jeeves or something.

Did a "google" search and found it quickly. Wanted to stop SNKneo from buying.... Just looking out for everyone.

I wonder if the cart works, though...

Whole thing is extremely extremely bizarre. Why would a guy pull a scam on a 40$ item? Very, very strange.

Not to mention he's not even asking for a date with the bidder's sister. And obviously owning this piece of merchandise is not going to make him 'bigger, batter and better than anyone else in the neighborhood' ^_^ :D

I'd still say get it - just to try it out. Don't do the BIN price though.

That is really strange. I agree it is way too good of a job for someone to make and sell on his/her own for just $40. Could the Gameboy Color even handle something like this?

There's no way the GBC could do the images on the back of the box, as far as I'm concerned.

Also, if it's an import, why is there an ESRB rating? Why is the box in English. Where is the manual (He specifically says Box, Case, and Cart)? That would be a hell of a lot more difficult to bootleg than the box.

Well, there was that Capcom vs SNK bootleg awhile back too.

Anyway, this would be interesting to have just to see how it looks/plays.

i have played that game before, it is just a imitation of ngpc metal slug, with a poor background sound repeat and repeat for the same stage. However, the control of the game is still acceptable.

Ha, now the seller has posted a disclaimer that "he has no knowledge of these things".

Anyway, it'd be cool if I could read the text on the back of the box. Looks like enGRish.

Hey this one is crazy, but I think it's a bootleg - the GBC could never play such good graphics (look likes NGPC  ).
But I would also try a buy just to see how the controls would have been managed tickled Throw a grenade on "select" glee ????

PEACE :D

someone put a lot of time into that

also i thought game boy color carts were black not gray
Thats only for Color ONLY games. They sold games that were color and b/w compatible, but they had gray carts still.
