I love this game, possibly even more than MOTM...but now I'm wondering if there's anything more to do.

So now I've beat Omega Rugal in Making Mode on the hardest difficulty. Isn't there anything I get? There's nothing more to do? Is the rest of the game just playing the few making levels over again trying to find all the skills? Is there any advantage/benefit in playing on hard compared to easy for more bonus things?

I have a question about the skills, when you find a new skill, it asks you if you want to add it. If the skill page (like 20 skills) is full, do some skills get pushed off so you can't use them? I know they are recorded in the skills book so you can see what skills you have discovered but those aren't the ones you can use.

Finally, how do I unlock the secret characters in the normal K.O.F. tournament? I got purple Yashiro but I don't know how I did it.

There are 210 skills to collect. Basically it's like, you can fill up your album as you evolve or earn your skills, but you can only hold 20 skills that you dearly want to keep to modify your character. It's designed to have kind of an RPG feel to it. I highly recommend that you keep the skills that are hard to get, because it takes forever to collect the skills that you are missing, and unless you have a NGPC to Dreamcast link you can't collect a lot of the other skills that you have not yet gotten.

In order to unlock secret characters, you have to play through the game and have them challenge you. I think the better your record, the higher the possibility that they will challenge you, the same way the odds of fighting Shingo is increased in King of Fighters 98 if your record is good. It is possible that you can only unlock Omega Rugal if he challenges you, some people have said that Omega Rugal won't be unlocked if you just finish the game.

Well I have the game and I have compleatly beat the K.O.F and got all the characters. The characters are Omega Rugal, and other forms or Colors if you like of the following. Kyo,Terry,Ryo,Mai,Yuri,Orochi Team : Chris, Shermi Yashiro. And thats it.. The Making gets boring after a while trying to get them all ..Thats all I know .. And no I don't have all the skills. very_ang

Alright, thanks guys. As for the skills, there is no way to select which ones you want to save? If you aquire a new one, will it simply push the first one off the list if you choose to save the new skill?

When a new skill is acquired, and you have already reached your 20 skills limit in your inventory, you can choose which to give up and keep the new one, or just give up the new one.

I don't like KoF R-2 much. I even prefered KoF R-1 over it... (it had 'cutscenes', less bugs, characters I prefered, cool endings...)

Not to mention that bug, at the beginning of each fight, preventing your opponent to move before you attack him or wait...

Yeah, that is a well known bug, I don't know how that got past playtesting. But if you start with a fireball, your opponent dodges it immediately... what gives? Did they design it thinking everyone would start with a fireball? This is SNK man, ain't no Capcom fighter, who throws fireball as their first move? Physical punches and kicks baby, physical punches and kicks buttrock buttrock buttrock

I know about the fireball thing, but it's certainly not done on purpose either. It must just remove the bug by chance...

Also, at the beginning of each round, you can sometime see your opponent move forward or backward by like 1 pixel then stop... So it does start to move but gets stopped for some reason.

PS: I don't start battles with a fireball in Capcom games...

I saw the CPU pull this move a few times with Kyo Kusanagi, so I tried it a few times but it didn't work, is it my cancel rhythm is off?

Kai (one kick version: D, DF, F+K) -> High up in air, not on ground -> Oniyaki (F, D, DF + P)

How is this possible? I normally can pull off his combo Kai + Oniyaki, but not before he lands on the ground.
