Slowdown can be a pain, but Angel is one of the best female Neo characters and the game is just plain fun. Gotta stop the DIC!

The first Shock Troopers is better overall, no one can deny that.
But the second game has some awesome weapons and has a great soundtrack (you are right hyperneophyt3, the 1st levels music really gets you into the game). I also think the animations on the main sprite are better.
Just a shame it suffers badly at times from slow down, but don't let that put you off.. definitely worth some time.

I just got the game from T.A.P. and played through it today for the first time from start to finish. I agree with practically everything that's been said. The slowdown is bad at times but never really takes you out of the game. The music is awesome throughout and really sets the tone. I had a great time with it and I'll definitely be going back through with friends.
