Umm. Yeah, it's good, if not as good as Mario Tennis.

It's still worth having. Of the sports games on the NGPC it's pretty much the only one I ever actually play - mainly as I don't understand Baseball and the footy game seems *broken*...

Cheers

definately a dissapointment, not Super Tennis quality. I bought my Toys R Us last copy of MOTM, the cart didn't work so instead of sending it to SNK to replace I took it back and got Pocket Tennis, bad move. But its worth it if you know what you're getting. I found the game extremely easy. No challenge, I win many matches without losing a point. Maybe there's a difficulty setting I didn't see...

Unfortunatly there's no difficulty setting. I agree that this game is too easy! It is ok to play for a change of pace every now and then, but I am glad I picked it up for 8 bucks. I would not pay much more.

Well, since I am a fan of tennis, I wanted to pick it up from a fella at the boards, but he sold it. :( I hope I didn't miss out on it.

For awhile during last Christmas I went Tennis 2K2 nuts with my friends.

Problem was it's system was ingrained into my brain and I found I couldn't play Pocket Tennis anymore afterwards.

Haha, I am glad I am not the only one. :) It really is a good game. I bought Smash Court Tennis for PS2, and still like Tennis2k2 alot better, just a great game to pick up, and play. :)

I like the game. I like the fact you can unlock secret characters as well. Solid gameplay to boot.

I prefer the B&W version, actually. It's noticeably more difficult (better AI and it's actually possible to hit the ball out, etc.). It's still pretty easy, but you just sort of have to limit yourself, like not setting up the opponent for the same simple point every time, because they *WILL* fall for it everytime. Otherwise, it's a pretty good game (either B&W or Color) with very smple and responsive control. The B&W version doesn't have the secret Amoeba player and it has fewer courts (actually it has the same number, I think, but the fifth court is only playable in a 2player game).

I think Pocket tennis is anyway only fun in two-player mode. The single player mode is too easy. But gameplay is ok and so it's great fun to pla the game with a friend.
