HURRAY! KOF96!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD I can finally own the arcade perfect version at home. (with netcode as good as KOF95, or possibly better!) :)

http://andriasang.com/comyai/

Does this mean North America will get them on Tuesday also? Or we have to wait a bit extra?

Shock Troopers and World Heroes came in the US about 1 week after the Japanese releases.

So I'm guessing these two will come in the US in 10/4 maybe?

Just say, "The perfectly adequate, more than good enough version." There may still be one or two people left who will take offense at you claiming to get an arcade perfect experience through SNKP's buggy emulation. No need to taunt them.

so are you saying the Neo Geo Station emulation has microscopic differences from the actual arcade version? Well I honestly can't tell the difference with the Neo Geo Station versions.

SNK is the worst company for emulation of games. I say fuck that, grab a neo and play it right. I wouldn't be surprised if these games have natural input delay. Seeing how the SNK Classics shit was handled, I'm never getting any SNK emulated games again. KOF on psp was such a travesty I'm ashamed to admit I even own it. I have that game on cd, mvs and home, and wanted a portable copy. Big mistake

what did you expect? PSP has inferior hardware and inferior "online" (lol adhoc), so of course any version of anything on PSP is worse than the PS3/console version.

consoles >portables.

and who the fuck would want to play SNK games on such a tiny screen and terrible controls?

PSP Kof collection was so bad. I need get rid of my copy. I'm very upset by that game.

These NeoGeo Station ports are actually good. I played a ton of 95 and am happy with it.

I simply do not trust random forum posts when it comes to ports. Most people just don't play the games enough to notice differences. There are actually people who think MVC3 is good online... THOUSANDS OF THEM!

and that's okay, I can relate with some games... for example I play third strike enough to immediately feel the difference playing the shitty dreamcast version, but I really don't feel anything when playing the dreamcast mark of the wolves which is apparently pretty bad, it's the same to me because I am not good at the game.

EDIT: not aimed at you RBjake :) or anyone specific here. just sayin

This wait is already painful. I don't care what people say about the Neo Geo Station PS3 ports, they are arcade perfect enough to me, along with the comfort of a modern console. if KOF96 has netcode as good or better than KOF95, it will be even more golden. :)

Should just burn slug 2 off PSN. Better yet, buy a PS2 and get the whole collection for cheaper.

Totally agree with you. As someone who owns kof 95 on the neo, I can say that these ports are good. I have no idea about the Metal Slug games, but the KoF ports are great.

There are a lot of people commenting on them here who have never tried them. I can understand the SNKp hate, I was burned by the Kof PSP collection pretty badly. I'd like to hear from other people who have the neo carts about what they think of these NeoGeo station ports.

Sony has pretty historically treated SNK like they don't matter, so the lack of support for NGS doesn't surprise me.

well at least they matter enough to accept money to allow Neo Geo Station on PSN. :)

also PSN blog can be strange, if I recall, they did list Shock Troopers in one of the PSN blog release updates. And I think they also did so for KOF94. or maybe it was something else, well anyway, at least we know it's coming. :)

'94 and '95, the games that started the series, weren't playable?

Who knew?

I think '95 is more playable than '96. Personal mileage and all, but there you go.

There are still things I love about '94 more than any other game in the series.

95 is definitely playable, a true old-school SNK tour de force. Sure, the AI's cheap but what the hell.

still enjoy playing KOF94, besides KOF95. They all have unique atmosphere and feeling exclusive to each one.

KOF96 will be tons more fun than it was in arcades back then. I really enjoy Neo Geo Stations features, screen options, even the manual is great to flip through, and now I can finally try out some good players online with KOF96 at a competitive level. :) I may not be a pro, but I win some matches here and there.

Hee hee I still remember those GameFan pages that advertised KOF96 for PS1 or I think Saturn. But this is first time I get to own KOF96 on console
(and arcade perfect too like 94 and 95 with great screen size features,
I have it set so it even looks bigger and better than the originals! )

Finally, some games released on PSN that aren't from 1990, lol. I know, a few newer games have already came out. I just can't understand why they don't throw in Real Bout Special, Last Blade, AOF3...you know, games like that. Does SNK Playmore not want to make money. I am am even surprised Shock Troopers came out for PS2 and PS3.

Hmm, Ikari Warriors 3 and Prehistoric Isle 1930 for PS Minis later this month. I really wish they would add P.O.W. After that, I will be satisfied with the pre-NeoGeo arcade released.
