OCT 1: NYC Meetup/Send-off/BP for chronic1

'cos chronic1 is going to be leaving the NJ/NYC area in October, we thought it'd be a good idea to have an area get-together. Pipe up if you're all keen on the idea near the end of September. Will likely fall on a Friday or Saturday, or Sunday if need be.

UPDATE: chronic1 is leaving in November, and his birthday falls on 18 November, so we're changing up this get together. Because he is here only on weekdays, we're looking at a Thursday meetup. Let's eye some national holidays in October.

I need to get out to the city more so i'm game.

It just so happens that Sunday 25 Sept. is the 26th Annual Muslim American parade, and there's gonna be a Souk (Bazzar) there too. That's quite a bit of unexpected entertainment, a suggestion for now of course. Brooklyn Museum supposedly has a good collection of mummies, always wanted to check out its other stash. Will ask some other NYC friends what's fun to do in the city.

Saturday 1 October is the new date for our meetup. chronic1 says he'll be here in New Jersey/New York this weekend, so it's perfect — weekend's way easier for people to hang out. It just so happens that Brooklyn Museum has a Free Target Saturday too, in the evenings from 5–11 PM, so that's one of the things we can go check out, have always wanted to check out its sizeable Egyptian artifact/mummy long-term exhibit.
