I'd link the video I took a few years ago but I went too late and it came out really dark. Barcade in Brooklyn is really good. Good selection of brew on tap, good music and a lot of great 80's games. The big drawbacks, nothing really from the 90's so no Neo and fighters, but would you really want fighters in a bar? The one in Brooklyn can get packed and it's a crush to get to the bar and even a game. I'd still say the worst thing about Barcade is the people that go there. Since it's in the Williamsburgh there is A LOT of stupid preppy hipster douchebags. Even other hipsters think the crowd at Barcade is a bit too much. Other then that it's a good place to go for some games and a brew.

Some friends and I went to the Barcade last night. Overall, it was an awesome experience. They had a superb selection of American craft beers, including several pumpkin ales, which I definitely dug, like Southampton Pumpkin and Williamsburg Pumpkin. The main attraction was the 2 dozen or so arcade games on hand. I played Double Dragon, Ms. Pacman, Paperboy, Tetris, Joust, Frogger, Super Mario Bros, Dig Dug, Burgertime, Crystal Castles, and Donkey Kong. Tempest and Galaga were out of order, which annoyed the shit out of me. I ended up playing about 10 games of Donkey Kong. By the time we left, I had set the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place scores. Not bad, eh? The downsides were it was crowded as hell since it was opening weekend, and that a lot of the joysticks, mainly Dig Dug, were beat up. Many of the monitors were not calibrated either, which meant many had a crappy picture with either off colors/brightness or bad geometry, or both. I'll sumise by saying that I will definitely go back when the crowds die down a bit. This is a place where we could have a meetup. I suggest you all go and check it out for yourselves in the meantime. BTW, no MVS.
