Neo geo cd help

Hi guys tryed a new laser in my neo geo must be doa as i get error 0001
plus now i get only sound no picture.
any info i would be glad.

Sounds like you forgot to connect the RGB harness.

Well i checked everything is all pluged in i am checking for dry jonints and bad CAPACITORS but all look fine replaced most of them.
but not all as i dont have any of some of the values.

ok ordered some more caps and checked dry jonits i hope i can fix this.
Even checked the 7805 regs and read 9v both of them.

oh and would like to get hold of a new ribbion for the cd board to main board 18pin ribbion.
this model is the top loader.

ok replaced the CAPACITORS and no joy and i replaced the two 7805s so now i have ordered a new cxa1645/p would that fix my probleam thanks.

You're going about this all wrong. You need to get a logic probe. RGB is produced on the bottom board. Trace it from the 5 pin harness. The way you're doing it you might as well just buy another unit since you are replacing all the parts.
