Hey, I'm an MVS guy here, but I've considered getting the BIOS chip so I can play in AES mode. I was wondering if there was anywhere to findout what additional options are avaliable on the AES for games. That's really the big thing I'm interested in for getting the chip, so I was just wondering if there was somewhere to see what I'd be gaining on the games I have.

I don't think anyone is going to take the time to post every option for every game, because they are all different. But from my experience, most of the older Neo games have pretty pathetic options that you can already manipulate with through the MVS options, but alot of the newer titles (say anything from '98 and beyond) have things like training and survival modes as well as the ability to cut out certain parts of the display (like life meters or the time display on fighting games). Another handy thing you can do on the newer fighting games is turn the timer off completely.

Right, I wasn't expecting a game by game list, but I thought there might be a FAQ somewhere or just some general info, like KOF has ____ option, etc.

So what you said helps. That's kind of what I was looking for.

Well, like I said, the older Neo games aren't going to have any options you don't already have running it through MVS mode. Less actually...

Any game from about '97 on will have a lot more to work with. Especially if it was actually programmed by SNK. Personally, I really like the fact that the newer fighting games have training modes and the ability to turn the time limit off. They REALLY help if you like to practice combos and what-not. I would say go for it if you want TOTAL control of all your games. Sometimes games are better with home options, sometimes not. But you can't go wrong with being able to boot up the game in both settings. Don't pay out the nose for it though...
