A lose cart usually refers to a bare cart, meaning it comes just as a cart. No case or manual for a AES game. Or no mini marquee, stickers, or artwork for a MVS cart.

Yes, loose carts means unboxed. But perhaps you meant your cart is rattling? Or maybe that it doesn't fit snugly in the console.
