The forum search engine isn't working, so I decided to ask. How do I know that I have a real or bootleg MVS cart? Thanks in advance all.

After a while you may develop an instinct for it/
eeproms, they are the the chips with windows for uv flash erasure, having said that there are same official carts that use these.
Bottom line is if your not sure, insist that the seller send a piccy then post it here, you will get good advice

No seller I know of is willing to open up a cart and take pics of the pcb's inside...and inspecting the pcb's is the only way to tell for sure if it's a boot or not...case, spine, etc. may not be reliable...

Most GOOD sellers will refund your money or send you another if you get a boot. MD Gamesales is cool like that. Only problem is for international buyers, as the shipping can sometimes be as expensive as just buying another cart.
