not sure, if it was a 16 bit system or not, sorry if it is not I apoligize but I figured since the neo 64 was the next gen neo system then the crystal system was 16 bit sorry :o

Well this is the systems subcategory wich is split into 16 bit, ngpc and 64 so I thought that questions pertaining to consoles would go here and not general.

But, the Crystal System is actually not even related to the Neo-Geo I don't think... It would probably be better off in the unrelated forums, but since Shawn was stocking them for a long time, I think that's why it got the association. There used to be talk of it being the successor to the MVS. On retrospect, we know that is not so. There are two games for it: Evolution Soccer and The Crystal of Kings (beat em up). Both have mixed reviews.
I guess I do know a lot about it.... I just don't know about its specs.

The Crystal System is 32-bit. It was created by the now defunct BrezzaSoft, and it was believed to be the successor of the MVS.
The system was not powerful, but it was decent.
This system died because of poor marketing and lack of must have games.

I guess Crystal of Kings was not terrible, but it wasn't great either... just bog standard. And Evolution Soccer was deffinetly a sequel to Super Sidekicks... but in this day and age, barely anyone cared. Had they gotten a cool fighter or something else on the system it may have taken off, but... now it is nothing but a dead system,-Nick

Too bad from the looks of Crystal Kings if Playmore/SNK took the Crystak system as the next MVS there would be some kick ass games. My guess for the lack of switch was the company wanted to keep the home system owners happy. It's a shame the crystal system got screwed

Maybe I'm crazy but I actually really like Crystal of Kings on the Crystal System
I have beaten it a couple of times and I still enjoy playing it. It is somewhat repetitive but fun nevertheless.
Oh well, something for everyone I suppose
