I am a monitor/input newbie... so bear with me.

I have an opportunity to buy this monitor:

<a href="http://www.dot-x.com/pdf/01054dsvusermanual.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.dot-x.com/pdf/01054dsvusermanual.pdf</a>

There are 2 versions, one has VGA input (for computer purpose, or dreamcast), the other has something else. It is like a big round connector, and the guy who is selling it showed me with a Radio Shack adaptor, I can connect any RCA (yellow) video output to it.

My question is, I want to buy one to hook up my neogeo for it. How would I get the best possible picture? Okay, I don't have a RGB cable for the neo but I figure I can always get one. Should I go for the VGA input or the other one?

Thanks alot.

From the specs it looks like it can do NTSC, PAL and RBG. The horizontal refresh is 15.75 kHz so it looks like it can do CGA RGB but not the higher VGA RGB. So if you wanted to use it for a Dreamcast the VGA adaptor would not work, I believe that requires a horizontal refresh rate of 31.5 kHz. You could use the yellow video NTSC connector that you mentioned though.

It is the same as the Neo Geo's RGB sync refresh rate. wink
