I have a MV-1 board that displays "Video Ram Error" on powerup. Is there any way to fix this board?

Yes, but what are the numbers? they wuill tell which RAM went bad. I forget the site, but there is a good tech site with information to refer to. Better have good soldering skills, though. Its not a plug in jobbie...

Ok, the numbers are :

0000800 5555 FFFF

So I checked the site that ttooddddyy posted ( Thanks! ), and found that it was a fast sprite RAM error, associated with the 5814 chips...

So I checked the board...

The 2 5814 chips are missing??

No wonder it comes up with an error...

What's a good place to get them online?

Thanks for all the help! :)

I'd like to know the same thing. The problem with findchips.com is that the companies that they list don't sell to individuals, only to companies. If there isn't a good place to get them online, then does someone know what common JAMMA boards use them so that you could scrap 'em?
