When one gets a Metal Slug Converted Cart for AES, are the roms on board from the AES version, or are they rom chips stolen from the MVS version?

I don't think they're the same...I've noticed that most home carts don't play the same as their MVS counterparts...and I heard there was a big guide to all the different rom releases, and inside it said AES and MVS was different.

I hope someone knows...I don't want to buy a converted cart that's fundamentally different from the original AES in programming...

The roms in these conversions are from the MVS carts. The games are identical.

Zup Ven..
it's the same thing.
The original MS1 and the converted one.
it doesnt play the same as the mvs cause the original is an AES that means you play on the home system wich uses a difent type of bios than the MVS, that's the only difference, but if you have the debug on the home system install, then you will notice that there exactly the same thing.
and the roms are remove from the original MVS and install into the sac AES cart....
if you have any more questions either email me or, go to chat.....
later

Hm...I guess it's the same...

I'm just skeptical. I've noticed different ROM releases for MotW...noticed that things that work in the arcade do not work on the home release, and so on. I want the exact same code as the AES...sure, an MVS will run as an AES, but I want to be sure it's exactly the same program data.

I don't want Metal Slug MVS running in home-cart mode. I want true Metal Slug AES.

Now, if that's the same thing...that's great. But after seeing difference in games like MotW, between MVS and AES...and seeing games like X-Men VS Street Fighter, with three (maybe more, I forget) different dated rom releases...

I hope you understand what I'm saying...

You probably played the Beta Rom of MOTW on a Emu or just played a beta Arcade release.

The final official version of MOTW is identical on Home cart and MVS. As mentioned above, differences are superficial and are determined by whetheer or not you are playing it on home or arcade. Home bios has the extra options, and MVS bios have the basic arcade options. Period.
