I've read that the neo cd controllers are prone to getting gummed up with plastic dust an I was just wondering if that was the case with the kidney shaped ones as well? I've got one an I swear a lot of the time it doesn't hit the diagonals very well. Is it a similar fix to the one described here http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/neopadfix.htm or is there anything else I should know before I go ahead and open it up?

no, the stick is an arcade stick with microswitches, very much like the old style stick but with rubber pad for buttons. If you´re unhappy with the performance you could replace the microswitches with brand new ones.

Cheers mate. Opened her up for a look cos I was curious anyway an realized pretty quick it wasn't gonna be a dust issue. Thinkin I might have to go ahead an try build my own stick as I think the kidney one feals a little light. Is there a nice step by step link for such a build or is it more of a case of finding the info from various forums?
