I was checking around ebay and they have some that are called Silver while others are called Gold. What is the difference between these two systems and is one better than the other?

Silver Systems come with console, hookups, and a controller.

Gold Systems come with console, hookups, two controllers and a memory card.

It just pertains to a different package deal. The hardware is just the same...only more of it.

Since the Gold System package is really a collector's thing, buying one usually means it's in-box and complete, so you can show it off. If you didn't have the box or manuals, there'd be no real way to tell a "Gold System" anyway.

Oh, and one more thing. On eBay, don't trust in that definition. If it says it's a "Gold System", or a "Silver System"...well, many eBay sellers don't know the difference. They only put that on there because of what the box might say, or from what they heard was the full Neo-Geo system name.

In other words, ALWAYS inquire about what you are getting in the package, itemized. You didn't know what a Gold System is, and, ironically, neither do a lot of these sellers.
