I've been playing the original RF on the 360 collection, trying to 1cc it. I've also been trying to get decent scores, just wondering if anyone has any tips. I know as you collect medals they increase their score value until you miss one. And of course you want to try to find any hidden fairies. What else?

I get a lot of quick shot awards but sometimes I get them one that says "defeat before a time!" or something like that. I assume this means you killed something in a certain amount of time after it appeared on screen, correct?

Also, is there any reason to use any ship besides the Judge Spear? I've tried them all and this one seems to be superior to all of them in just about every way.

Just to make sure you're utilizing the medal chaining system properly...

Medal values with no Slaves range from 10 to 90.
Medal values with one Slave range from 100 to 900.
Medal values with two Slaves range from 1000 to 9000.
Once you max out all three of these ranges, you'll trigger 10k medals. Get 9 10k medals onscreen simultaneously and they'll explode. This will trigger Bonus Medal mode. At this point, the medal values raise 10k at a time up to 100k. Dropping a medal will reset the chain to 10k.

Also, try using Judge Spear's Slave.

Ah, I was wondering how you made the 10k medals appear exactly.

How do I access Judge Spear's slave?
