Stereo Mod

I know when the mod is done the headphone jack is used, but is the stereo mod for a NGH system just an emulation of the mono signal split to play at two sources? Or, is it actual stereo sound?

I don't know too much but I believe it is stereo sound. Also I have heard that if you use your headphone jack with cables you get the same thing as some stereo mods. I have done that to my home system and it works great. The jacks are only about $5 to $10 at Radio Shack or I am sure you can get them at other stores. Hope this helps.

As you said, the mod taps off the headphone socket, which is stereo.

Don't forget arcade cabs were often mono anyway!
