Neo Geo Cd LED, Switch,

Few quick questions.

I want to take out the ugly red led in the CD top loader. Ive taken a qucik look inside (what a mess) and noticed that they have the little bugger put in place quite well. have any of you ever changed the LED in the CD? How did you do it exactly? I want to put a Blue or white one in.

2. USA switch. Is is as easy as soldering wires into the holes by JPN1 and then hooking the to a switch? Let me know.

I even put a single pull single throw (SPST) switch in the back of mine, so I can toggle between Japan and Engrish
