Okays people I’m trying to record any game playing off my Neo Geo or any other games console onto my handycam or video player! But guess what… It doesn’t work!

Originally what I was meant to have done was hook my Digital Handycam to the TV which would record the game playing off my Neo Geo on the TV (I hope u understood what I just said there…pheew)!

Okay to put it more simple I have 3 scart sockets on my TV. But I’m only using the 1st 2 scart sockets! The 1st scart socket is used for the Neo Geo RGB scart. I then from the TV menu assign the 2nd scart socket to output signal rather than input. But I make it signal out what ever signal input is in the 1st scart. So now I can hook up the handycam to the 2nd scart socket so that I can record whatever is playing in scart1 onto my handycam. Nice!

But guess what… I can’t record anything that’s off a Videogame console! Only shitty TV program stuff! Someone briefly told me it’s to do with the signal being scrambled or something like that, especially from games consoles to prevent such things! Then started going on about Macro or something???

So I tried my Video tape player to record next. Sure it recorded but it ended up in black and white! Ahhh rubbish!

Is there a way at least to make my video player record my video games playing in colour, if not possible to use the handycam to record????

If there are gadgets online that I could buy to overcome this, or anything off Ebay that might be useful for this problem please do send me the links.

But I could also do with a nice lecture to why I can’t properly record my games playing!

CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERSSS EVERYONE!!

I think others use TEH ROMZZZZZ for that :)

But due to some lame sort of macro vision it is possible that you can`t record it, still a bit strange though but I guess you`re not the first so someone will definately come up with the correct answer

Hmm you could be right. Im using a scart to my cam corder but it's not RGB. But It proves that RGB won't make a difference anywasy because I used a top quality QED one to my video player and it came out in B/W but at least it recorded it. Hmmm.

Any suggestions anyone????????????

I just use my brothers little PC digital video capture device. It hooks up via S-video to my MVS directly, so I get perfect digital video and sound.

Directly to MVS eh. Try and do it directly from a modded AES Neo-Geo system from it's s-video port and i'll be gratefull!

Anyone know where I could buy a decoder from to hook up to my Video player?? I was reading my VCR manual and it says, a decoder device can be hooked up to the VCR on it's scart port to sort out scrammbled signals. Anyone know where I can get these 'DECODERS' from???

Thanks
