MVS: My hard dip won't adjust

Hey, I did a serch on this and found nothing. I can adjust all of my soft dip settings, but when I go to hard dip none of my buttons will adjust anything, except button 3, or c, which brings me back out of the settings screen. I really want to set it to free play. So, can someone tech the crap out of my problem? Any help is good help. Thanks! help

don`t you need to set the dips on the board itself? there are some on the board, if I`m not mistaking it`s dip 2 that gets you free play

When I go in to the hard dip settings it shows free play as an option, I just cant change ANY of the hard dip settings.

that`s because those settings are showing the way your boards actual dip switches are set up...check the side of your mvs board for these switches and set dip 2 to on.
You cannot change anything in your bios in the hard dip settings with your buttons .

that should do the trick.....

I feel like I'm getting closer, where on the board is the switch? I have the 4-slot board. I just felt around on it and didn't feel any switches. help

On my MV-4F its on the left side to the rear. A small blue and silver box with 8 tiny switches, its actually dip 7 which is freeplay too. I guess it depends which way you look at it but it should be numbered.
