[CPS2] Using AA Size Batteries instead of 1/2 AA Size?

I received my order from Happ Controls today. I made a mistake when ordering the 3.6 V lithium (suicide) batteries for the CPS2 B boards - I ordered AA size instead of 1/2 AA size.

However, I'm considering using these anyway. I've thought of this before - the AA size has twice the Ah rating of the 1/2 AA size. So theoretically, they would last twice as long. The voltage is the same, so I don't see why using AA size would not work, and in fact be a better replacement.

Has anyone else done or considered doing this? What do you think?

AA size is twice as long as 1/2AA of course, so I don't know if it fits...other than that there should be no problems.

My 19XX board has been running on a full-size AA for over 2 years now.

Any 3.6v lithium cell will work fine, but obviously any battery that's smaller than 1/2 AA will die quicker.
