I was wondering if I need to buy a memory card in order to save high scores on games and what not. I played MS3 last night on japanese system all night and it didn't save my high score.

Thanks for the help,
Alan

Hello Alan, and welcome to the forums!

The memory card will not save high scores. It will save your current level you achieved on the game, but thats about it.

It's hardly worth buying. Unless you're playing Magican Lord, but, if you're playing fighting games, then, it's not really worth it, unless you want to skip thru the game, that is.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm still confused though why MS3 won't save my high score after I finish. I input my intials and and it shows it on the board, and stays on there until I turn of the system. Then the next time I play the game doesn't have the intitals there. It does the same thing on MS4 and Senguko 3.

Thanks again,
Alan

The neo geo hame system does not have a battery back-up system to save your high scores after you turn off your machine, unlike its big brother, the MVS.

I see, so there is no way for me to save my scores on any of my AES games then?

The only real use I've found for the memory card is saving your place on hidden characters that are difficult to reach, or an alternate way to have unlimited credits.

Hey !!! If you want to BREEZE through games in one night, buy the memory card. It saves the level you were last on, when the GAME OVER appears.

On the other hand.... any sports game that has a long tournament mode... is a good use of the memory card. This way you can save your place, without starting all over.

True Neo Geo "diehards" always start the game from the beginning.
