Anyone know the EXACT name of the socket that fits the 4-slot's 4 headphone pins?

I was at my electronic store that have had a lot of what I need to make a supergun for my 4 slot...

...but they didn't have a 4 pin female socket that would fit the one on the 4 slot. They had extra bodies for the socket, but they didn't have the pins within them...

I hope that made any sense at all...

anyway, I am looking for something that can be slipped onto the 4 pins on the side of the 4 slot to get sound from the headphone pins...and something that is ready to be soldered to wires...

So, does anyone know the EXACT name or where I could pick up the single socket piece online?

thanks!

That's because that type of connectors are for crimping terminals only.

You're looking for something that doesn't exist...

I really didn't want to solder anything directly to the board.....

but do you think I will have to?

There has got to be another way of doing this...

I think there were double sockets that fit...

I may end up just using two of those I guess...

suggestions?

did I ask this before? maybe something along these lines but I don't think I asked this particular question.

anyway, I will keep the basic questions to a minimum, as I am sure you regs have seen them 1000 times...

I just want to make sure I get this right on the first try.

you need something like this but with 4 holes right? http://www.jst-mfg.com/ProductGuideE/ENH.html

You can track on down through various JST retailers, but it won't be easy.

I have been helped sooo much by the "shit" that NGT has asked. Thank you NGT for starting all the posts you have, and thank you for all the good people on this board that have replied with helpful information.
