JUST WONDERING WHERE I WOULD NEED TO SOLDER THE BUTTONS?
IE THE WIRES TO THE MICROSWITCHES FOR THE BUTTONS.......IM KEEPING THE ORIGINAL PADS BOARD AND WILL HOUSE IT APPROPRIATELY WHEN THE THING IS TO BE HOUSED.....
I WAS JUST WONDERING WHERE TO SOLDER THE WIRES FOR THE "A B C AND D BUTTONS" AS WELL AS THE "SELECT AND START"
IM NOT SURE IF I HAVE TO JOIN EM ALL TO THE 5TH PIN AND THEN THE APPROPRIATE (BECAUSE IT WORKS) OR IF THATLL STUFF IT IT (IF I HOLD THE START WHEN ITS IN THIS WAY THE GAME WILL RESET)......

JUST THOUGHT SOMEONE MAY KNO OR BE ABLE TO ADVISE ME
THANX IN ADVANCE......

Wish I could help on this one. I have not dealt with a Neo control pad, though. I do know where to solder to make a joystick for a Saturn or PSX out of their control pads.

If I ditch home carts completely and go MVS only, I intend to open up the cracked joystick I have and build a new case for the thing (and probably use some of my arcade buttons and a new joystick, as the current ones are a bit wonky) before selling my home system.

THANX ANYWAY MAN =)

SO FAR I HAD THE JOYSTICK WORKING, THEN THE BUTTONS.......SEEMS THEY REFUSE TO WORK TOGETHER, WHEN THE 5TH PIN IS USED AND NOT FOR THE DIRECTIONS.... (I SOLDERED THE OTHER WIRES TO THE PAD DIRECTLY......

THE SOLDERING WAS VERY VERY DIFFICULT, UNTILL I GOT A COOL IDEA.....I SOLDERED THE WIRES TO SEWING PINS AND COVERED THE METAL WITH STICKY TAPE, BEFORE SHOVING THEM INTO THE HOLES (THEY FIT LIKE A DREAM AND DONT BUDGE!)

I NEED TO NOW RESODER THE STICK IN THE SAME METHOD SO ITLL WORK ON PIN 5......THOW IM A LITTLE WORRIED SINCE I CANT GET A BUTTON TO WORK FROM PIN 5.......SIGH!
WHAT A CRUMP THIS IS!....ERRRR HEADACHE.....
