I need a couple of the little pins that go inside the MVS/JAMMA harness in my dedicated 4-slot cabinet, so I can wire my -5V line.

Where can I find theese?
Do they sell somthing like this at a computer parts store?
What do I need to ask for? I went in radio shack with a picture of one and they couldn't help me.

If anyone knows where I can find theese, please help. I just hope I don't have to order them through the mail, I am in a rush. <img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" /> <img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" /> <img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" /> <img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" />

What I did is break apart a NON-JAMMA harness I had for an unknown game and used the pins and wire from that to fill in some missing spots I had on a JAMMA harness.
Just try to break up the black plastic with some pliers and a knife or some other tool without damaging/flattening the pins and they are reusable.

Don't break the edge connector.

To pull out a Jamma pin from a harness, turn the edge connector twoard you, with the wires away from you. Then, take something reall flat and thin like a VERY small screwdriver or a bobby pin with the end cut off and slide it behind the Jamma pin between the pin and the edge connector. Then pull the Jamma pin out from the wire side. Works great.

I've done this as well but it's just a pia imo and I've ruined a few.I picked up that non-jamma harness along with some other stuff @ an auction and just decided to break apart the edge connecter leaving me with alot of spares..a couple that I happen to be using right now.

Yeah it is! My jamma harness had a bunch of wires cut off just above the connector leaving the jamma pins in :( It took me like 10 min. to get the things out and now I have to wiggle my mono speaker wire to get a connection cuz I f@#$ed up the connector trying to get it out :(

AMEN BRUTHA
It's been so long sense I've bothered with it,I forgot the ill-affects of trying to poke each lil' pin out of the connecter..just remember it being a PIA until I said to myself ,"why bother?! I don't give a crap about what this old harness belonged to because every game out there is being converted to work with a Jamma harness anyway and this one is in pretty poor condition already so why not make things abit easier on myself." ;)

Whatever works for you...

Here is a pic of the tool I use. It is a monitor adjustment tool with a really thin metal end on it. I just slide it in and tug on the wire. The pins come out as easy as pie.

Yeah, a thin flat screwdriver works just fine for jamma pins, those are easy anyway...
A real pia is extracting molex pins: for that you really need the right tool...
