Me too, I used to play this at a friends house but now i really dont feel like paying whatever ebay sellers want for it ...~200$+ last time I checked, plus getting another console just for this game.

What's the going rate for the arcade version?

Honestly, I don't think so.

Look at other ports of sought after shooters, they have not dropped in price much after a Virtual Console or xbox360 release.

I wish you had an example. My example is Marvel vs Capcom 2. Price plummetted after XBLA / PS3 offered it with online play. I dont know any of high profile SHMUP game that was made more available on another platform.

Ikaruga?

RSG will come to Live with enough changes that it will be a different game than the original. That's exactly what happened with Ikaruga. And since shmups are all about scoring, any change that significantly changes that aspect of the port isn't a good thing.

MvC2 is enhanced by the move to Live, making it the de facto version. RSG will be a pretty HD version of the original game with different scoring, so it won't satisfy most people that dig the original.

I'm thinking the same as alphagamer on this. I think RS will still hold it's value for the most part. It may dip a bit for a while as some people off their copies in anticipation for this, but after that, it'll likely level out again. It's just reached that coveteted status that few games do.

Good news at any rate. Now more people will be able to play it and talk about how it's so overrated. :emb:

Not that I think it is... but you know it'll be discussed once this drops.

If the price really drops for Saturn Radiant Silvergun I might buy a copy after all.

I bought RSG for 60.00 dollars a few months after it came out. The game is good and not over rated..... the price it fetches now it overrated.

There's enough changes in MVC2 on live that it does play differently if you dig deep enough. They aren't intentional tweaks by Capcom, but oversights on Backbones part. Kinda like Ikaruga though it still feels the same in casual play. De facto is still arcade and Dreamcast.

Regarding Opethian's post, I *think* some of the Cave originals have gone up a bit since the Xbox versions dropped. I'm mainly thinking Ketsui, but a sneeze could drive the cost up on Ketsui. Also if anything I see the Saturn price rising.

I'm digging the new RSG graphics, never been a terribly huge fan, but this is exciting all the same.

Just another indicator that the price will not drop for the Saturn version.
