For better or worse they are straight arcade ports w/ no visual enhancements. Personally, I like that and w/ leaderboards the compilation is totally worth checking out at $30. Not too sure about the PAL thing but they do run in true 16:9 and 480p.

Thankyou for the information :) i be going out to the game shop tomorrow to pick up a copy. its sounds like both games are in there natural glory without the enhancement crap. i see alot of ps3 and xbox 360 reissue of games with crappy hd enhancement. i like to play my ports as if i am at the arcades. nothing beats oldschool gaming.

Thankyou for ur help :)

Darkneo, There is no, Classic Controller support for the game, and no light gun on the Wii. I was not about to buy that shell, that holds the Wii wand. I returned the game the day after I bought it. The Wii needs a...Light Gun, so that you can actually play the light gun games.

Have you tried the Nyko Perfect Shot? Works fine for me. But if you're playing a real light gun game, be sure to turn the crosshair off. Obviously, no need for that with the gunblade games.

Been using the wii Zapper Gun. They are pretty good ports. I like to see a few more shooters on the wii.

I hever played LA Machineguns either but Gunblade alone is a classic game that never made it to the Saturn.
At a price of GBP 12.50 (new and sealed from Amazon) a clear must have.

Just wanted to chime in that this game is awesome. I would have bought each title individually, but the fact that they're together is super bonus. Highly recommended, especially at the price they're being offered at.

The sales on these shooters hasnt been bad. Some of the Resident evil shooters sold well on the Wii top sales list. So well probably see a few more.
I think this particular release was a test to see the interest.

Mine was a day one purchase. Its an awesome game. Im building a shooter cab and want to use the wii setup in it because its so easy to use and calibrate.

Have you tried the Nyko Action Pack yet? It blows the Perfect Shot out of the water!!!

It maps the A/B button to the trigger electronically and you can switch between the 2!!! No stupid lever thingy pulling the B button... There is a switch on the bottom which lets you choose the triggers button mapping and a hammer on the back which acts as the other button. So in HotD: Overkill you just flick the hammer to reload!

I love it, best $ I've ever spent on a peripheral.

I used to enjoy LA Machine Guns in the arcade back in the day. The coolest part of it was that the cab had a plate that you and a friend would stand on while playing and the whole thing would shake as you unloaded and stuff. It'll probably lose a lot of it's charm without that.

I don't see what all the jizzing is all about with these games.

LA is kind of long, but the innocent bystanders ruins it. I mean really people? Innocent bystanders in a muther fucking machinegun unlimited ammo game? Who was the design genius that thought of that?

In some ways, NY is better because it's short and sweet. No innocent bystanders.

And leaderboards?! ORLY? You don't score extra points by shooting random stuff. The only way to score more is to not shoot innocents in LA. Pffft.

Admit it, You'll play these games once, maybe twice, and then shelf them. This is a $10-15 game at the most, folks. I feel like a sucker for paying full price for this. But I like to support light games (just not enough to spend $150 on Time Crisis - Where is my Point Blank Collection, Bamco?)

What I'd like to see Konami do is release a port of Police 911 1 + 2 with balance board support.

It existed in Japan for PS2 but it's so obscure and hard to find, and I don't have a way to play it.

I picked up this compilation recently and dug it. I've been on this kick recently with shooting games for the Wii (is it just me, or is it the perfect game system for the genre?). Never played the arcade originals, but they're not bad and good for a quick fix. Like everyone else, I'm hoping for more. In fact, and I know this is being discussed somewhere right now, it would appear to be a miracle at this point for Duck Hunt to be released for Virtual Console. I want it bigtime, but everyone seems to feel that Nintendo won't reprogram the game. Lame...

Oh hell yes!!!!

Also, I'm shocked the Wii hasn't received a Silent Scope and/or Time Crisis game yet. Especially Time Crisis considering the PS3 just got TC: Raizing Storm
