All right guys, after much deliberation it seems like Sunday, August 29th is the best time for us to have a meet at my place. I've got my own house (well, I have a housemate, but he's a really chill guy, and I'd bet he'll hang with us.) My list of cabs is below.

I've got:
Aero City 5-button with horizontal Tri-Sync (High res monitor) - currently running Atomiswave
Exceleena 2, 6-button JAMMA, hori - currently running CPS3/Street Fighter 3 2nd Impact. Easy to swap in CPS2.
Neo 25 Candy w/6-slot (and too many games)
Neo Candy 29, 4-button JAMMA - Plan to have this vert, but is presently hori
Aero Table - Very playable, but the control panel is a bit fragile, as it's not yet attached properly (and I've yet to find someone who can show me the proper set-up for it), set up for vert/shmup games
woodie 4-button JAMMA cab, 19" hori, nothing in it at the moment.
woodie 3-button JAMMA cab, 19" hori, kind of a beater, got Blitz in this

Also got a couple classics like Ms. Pac and Mr. Do's Castle, and a pinball, plus a fridge full of beer and soda.

I've also got a few different TVs so we can hook up some game systems, too - if you want a particular system there, let me know as many of my systems are still in storage back at my parents' place; I've got most every major game system except TurboGrafx/PC Engine.

(If you plan on coming, PM me for my address)

Let's start a list of who's going to be there, with forum names and real names (just copy-paste this and add your name if you're coming):
1. MmSadda - Collin
2. Blur2040 - Brian!
3. Idosk8 - Bill
4. Terry330 - Kurt
5. greedostick - Jeremy
6. Jon - Jon
7. TonK - Mike
8. n/a - Brian
9.??? Chunblue - Eric
10. ??? JMKurtz - Jeff
11. ??? iluvmonsterz - ???

Also, I've got no qualms about swapping PCBs in and out of my cabinets as many times as you guys want to - but we should probably keep to handling our own PCBs, just in case. I'm not too anal-retentive about my stuff, and I'm all about gamers-condition games, but I know some people are more protective and I'd like to respect that. ;)

Grumble. 29th. As long as nothing hyper important comes up, I should be able to make that.

As for things I can bring....

PCBs (Get ready for some giggles...)

Bionic Commando
Speed Rumbler (whose sound I may have working by then) (vertical)
MK3 (ultimate? I can 't remember)
Tekken 2
Street Fighter Alpha 2
Ehrgeiz
A butt-ton of Neo Stuff which you all probably have anyway

I'll also probably have by then:

Bad Dudes AND
Pit Fighter (shut up)

As for consoles, I have pretty much everything out there. If Collin has most of the mainstream stuff, I can supply:

PC Engine
CD32
Vectrex
Atari anything but jaguar (my XE collection is quite nice, if you're into that sort of thing)
...as well as games for these and any other console out there.

Yeah, I don't really have anything to show up with this time.. in a couple of months I plan to own some cave pcb's.

Kits are addictive and not worth the money. That said, I'm probably going to start selling mine soon, so if you're looking for anything....

i m gonna only buy kits that dont already have decent home ports..i dont really understand the gotta have the pcb over the home version mentality. as long as its close i m cool with a console version. so i ll probably be looking for games like batrider,progear,esparade...and guwange(yes i know about the pending live version) only because it ranks in my top 3 favorite shootie games... so i want to get the complete "kit" for that particular game. i know it may be pricey but oh well. so if you ve got any of those collin we may be able to do business.. ;)

I understand why people want full kits, but I honestly have no need for artwork, nor manuals... All I need is a pcb, and the knowledge on how to tell it separate from the next one. As long as that is covered, I'm happy. As for owning a PCB over a console... Well, I got rid of all my consoles, so PCB's are just a nice way to show off the game to the people who have them on console. I can argue that a pcb is cooler :buttrock: haha.

And as for space issues, I use rubber-made drawer/bins things that store them in their own drawer. It's neat, clean, and organized, and it doesn't look like a bunch of un-wanted clutter, just looks like an organized collection; plus they stack neatly, and can be hidden in a closet, or kept in the corner of a room.

Never understood the kits myself. Nice if you're an operator or collector who wants to keep the game in a cabinet for a long time...

...but for me, I only play JAMMA on a supergun currently. All I really want is marquees so I can buy up a few Dynamo cabs, put on generic CPS and then just have a few generic cabinets to switch my games/marquees out of. Anything else is too time consuming for me.

Oh, I misunderstood - I thought you meant MVS kits. I've only got a couple Cave games, ESPGaluda and ESPRa.De. Both are just loose boards, which I'm happy with. :)

Yeah... I dunno why I got into collecting MVS kits in the first place... I suppose it was just the only logical place to go with the MVS addiction, aside from getting a completely full collection...

Generic cabs are a good way to go - unless you have especially fond memories of one particular game, or are into pre-JAMMA stuff, it's nice to have everything as interchangeable as possible.

mvs games are totally logical from a price standpoint..aes complete games normally excede their mvs counterparts...dont they? or is about half and half?
i ll proly pick up a candy cab to save space..and because the gf thinks they are sooo "cute" hahaha!

Yeah, but there's no sense in owning full MVS kits for the most part - with a dedicated cab, it can be nice to have the move stickers, and the mini-marquee, but full kits just aren't worth it for me anymore.

That's how I feel, anything past dedicating a cab is pointless... Get the games you want, and play then how and when you want, the use of the rest of the kit seems useless.

Eh, I'd hazard a guess that we'll get Greedostick and Terry330. May well see TonK, too, but I think he's busier than some other people and less predictable.

What's really funny about all of this is that my sister actaully got herself and one of her ex boyfriends (who got me into arcade gaming) banned from these forums back in like 2004, ill dig around later tonight and see if I can't find the posts archived or something. Haha.

I live less than 5 min. away from mmsaddas place so if you guys want to come over here for a while I wouldn't mind.

I've got 2 Blast City cabs and a Big Red 4 slot.

I've got a bunch of shmup PCBs and most of the better Neo carts as well as a bunch of consoles with imports.
